Alibi Room

www.alibi.ca. The Alibi Room has fine ambitions. It doesn't just want to be a bar or restaurant, but a space to encourage creativity, with independent film being its primary cause. Found in the developing railtown district, its creators and owners are a diverse group of filmmakers, with Gillian Anderson, Jason Priestly and the Directors Guild of Canada among the credits. With long communal tables upstairs and intimate vodka bar downstairs, there's a cool vibe for the events running throughout the year, such as script readings and a crazy 8 film series. Loads of fun.
